In case you don't know the previous pages of this topic, here are the links :
Enjoy !
This topic enjoys great popularity, as I always notice from various mails.
It shows again and again that we are all human beings who occasionally
mix things up or forget or think in the wrong direction.
Actually, this is the "basis" for this topic, which now already appears on page 8,
because at some point a page is so full of many "cases" that it is enough for the moment.
Here is the beginning of page 8 with a few new finds, but it will soon increase, I'm sure!

But what about the 'second' sight ?
Got this from my mate Ian Higham, who wrote:

I'm Gonna Love You Too - Buddy Holly
Coral 78, Made In Ireland
I went through Ian's collection with '78 Foreigns',
in the process I discovered this:
Joe B. Mauldin
The name MAULDIN is not so easy to spell,
as you can see below.
Ein deutsches Sprichwort lautet: Der Teufel steckt im Detail !
A German proverb says: The devil is in the details !
Well . . . All Right - Buddy Holly
Coral 78, Made In Ireland
Here now example 2 of the 'artistic treatment' of the
surname MAULDIN by the company CORAL in Ireland.
Conclusion:
It's So Easy To Fall In Love,
but it's not so easy to put
the name MAULDIN on the record label.
I'm not sure how to rate the following fan articles.
With Donald Trump it was said several times:
"Alternative facts",
I tend rather to:
"Here Music history is written new!"
Buddy Holly died in 1953 !

Additional information:
The seller has many other "fan articles" on offer, all with this inscription !
Here are only 2 of them:

Here we go again :

What about 1957 ? ? ?
"OK, we write 1957 and get a lot of clicks ! ! !"
Brand new, with an error . . .
Here's a comment from Ian Higham:
'An unbelievable error!!

As a member of Roddy Jordan's Buddy Holly Community,

Quite 'interesting' , indeed !
Jimmy Gilmer died aged 84 in September 2024 in Amarillo.
We all like his songs and his tribute LP to Buddy Holly:
" BUDDY's BUDDY ".
Here are 3 pics from my collection:
Looks good at first sight, right ?
And now have a look at the record labels of side 1 and side 2 !
2 misprints for collectors !
