BUDDY - ART & KITSCH ( 21 )
The Show must go on, new finds on the internet :
This illustration by © Mike Hicks appeared in the April 1978 issue of © TEXAS MONTHLY.
To my taste, the vinyl record over Buddy's head is quite tasteless.
I can still understand the angel wings thing somehow.
This CD cover stands out due to 2 special features.
Artistically well solved connection of the name Holly with the glasses.
Plus an embarrassing spelling mistake: G R E A T I S T instead of GREATEST.
Often it is the little things that help over difficult times.
(From an unknown source, sent in by Dave Parsons from the UK.)
Cover of a Double LP Album remembering the 3 Stars.
The 3 cartoons are well done, thumbs up!

Wherever a new Buddy motif appears, the 'merchandise department' is not far away. Resourceful companies or even individuals market the motif on all kinds of articles such as T-shirts, cushions, canvas prints, shopping bags, notebooks, spiral pads, etc. to name just a few.
The 'Dallas - Motif' (a side view of the Buddy - Bust) is now also included!
Here are 3 examples for documentation.
