LARRY HOLLEY is Buddy Holly's oldest brother, born 10-07-1925.

He made a posting to my guestbook with kudos for my fanpages

Dies ist Larry Holley's Autobiographie. Sie enthält eine Menge interessante

Familienfotos, z. T. auch mit Buddy, die meisten davon bisher noch nicht

bekannt. Auf 288 Seiten erzählt Larry sein bewegtes Leben und widmet ein

Kapitel auch seinem verstorbenen Bruder BUDDY.

Larry was the owner of the HOLLEY TILE Co. in Lubbock, where Buddy

worked for some time. I'm in contact with Larry's daughter Sherry for

a long time now. The building on the photo had to be removed because

of a new highway.

Dear Hans,

I am sorry it took so long to get to your site but I am new at this internet stuff. I

want to thank you for helping to keep Buddy's music alive.

Your site has more info than any other that I have seen.

I am Buddy's older brother and mentor and music critic (there was very little that

I could pick on). I was the first one to get to hear the acetates because he would

bring them home as soon as they were cut. Back when Buddy was getting

interested in music, he would call on me for advice and help. I bought his first

guitar, the J-45 Gibson and later the Fender Strat, and a banjo.

He needed money to get started, and I helped with that as well as his Cadillac.

Since his life and mine were so closely related, much of what I did influenced him.

Now I have written an autobiography with many pictures.

This book has many funny stories as well as some vary serious, dangerous episodes

in my life. I believe this book will help people that read it see how we lived and how

it affected Buddy's life.
