AIN'T  GOT  NO  HOME  (Clarence  "Frogman"  Henry)

I ain't got no home No place to roam I ain't got no home No place to roam

I'm a lonely boy I ain't got a home

I got a voice  And I love to sing  I can sing like a girl  And I can sing like a frog

I'm a lonely boy  I ain't got a home

I ain't got a man  I ain't got no one  I ain't got a daughter  I ain't got no boy

I'm a lonely girl  I ain't got a home

I ain't got a father  I ain't got a mother  I ain't got a sister  Not even a brother

I'm a lonely frog  I ain't got a home

What you say to me  Please say to me  What you say to me  Please say to me

I'm a lonely frog  I ain't got a home

WAYLON JENNINGS - A LONG TIME AGO

© RCA / BMI Archives

A  LONG  TIME  AGO   ( Waylon Jennings )

I don't look the way the average cowboy singer looks

I'll admit i've taken things i never should of took

You can read a different story in a lot of different books

But even then you won't really know

How it was a long time ago

Women have been my trouble since i found out they weren't men

In spite of that i stopped and took a wife now and then

They built their fences high but they couldn't hold me in

I was born with a fire down below

And i learned to fly a long time ago

Don't ask me about the years i spent out in the rain

About the ones i spent in love or the ones i spent insane

Don't ask me who i gave my seat to on that plane

I think you already know

I told you that a long time ago

Me and ol' Willie, lordy we've been sold and bought

I guess you all heard about some kind of system that we fought

We ain't the only outlaws just the only ones they caught

They tried to run us off but Willie's slow

I quit running a long time ago

BUDDY HOLLY - AN EMPTY CUP

AN  EMPTY  CUP  (And A Broken Date)  (Roy Orbison - Norman Petty)

One lonely night at this drive-in

And now I know what a foo-ooll I've been

She was to meet me, we had a da-ate

A date at seven I dreamed of heaven

Now it's way past eight

She just drove by with another guy

No wonder I can't he-elp but cry

To think she never cared just tears me up

Now all I have to show for love

Is this empty cup  Just like this Coke

My love is gone I've hit the bottom

Now I'm all alone

BABY I DON'T CARE

(You're So Square)  BABY  I  DON'T  CARE   (Jerry Leiber - Mike Stoller)

You don't like crazy music

You don't like rockin' bands

You just wanna go to a movie show

And sit there a-holding hands

You're so square  Baby I don't care

I don't why my heart flips

I only know it does

I wonder why I love you baby

I guess it's just because

You're so square  Baby I don't care

You don't know any dance steps that I do

I only know I love you like I do, I do, I do, I do

I don't why my heart flips

I only know it does

I wonder why I love you baby

I guess it's just because

You're so square  Baby I don't care

Baby I don't care  Baby I don't care care  care care

BABY_IT'S_LOVE

BABY  IT'S  LOVE   (Bob Montgomery - Ella Holley)

Sixty seconds of heavenly bliss  One minute of your sweet kiss

Then my heart was all a mess  It's love, baby it's love

Sixty minutes of you in my arms  One hour to learn of all your charms

Then my heart's like a fire alarm  It's love, baby, it's love

Twelve hours of you to tantalize  One day for me to realize

My heart flutters like butterflies  It's love, baby it's love

Seven days, a wedding to plan  One week and then I began

My life of a happily married man  It's love, baby, it's love

Sixty seconds of heavenly bliss  One minute of your sweet kiss

Then my heart was all a mess  It's love, baby, it's love

Sixty minutes of you in my arms  One hour to learn of all your charms

Then my heart's like a fire alarm  It's love, baby, it's love

Twelve hours of you to tantalize  One day for me to realize

My heart flutters like butterflies  It's love, baby it's love

Four weeks of quarrels and kisses  One month of fighting the missus

I'm wondering now What the heck that this is  If it's love, baby, what's love ?

BUDDY HOLLY - I WANNA PLAY HOUSE WITH YOU

BABY,  LET'S  PLAY  HOUSE  (I WANNA PLAY HOUSE WITH YOU)  (Arthur Gunter)

Baby, baby, baby baby

Baby, baby, baby babe

Baby, baby, baby baby

Baby, baby, baby babe

Come back baby I wanna play house with you

Well now you may go to college

You may go to school

You may have a big Cadillac

But don't you be nobody's fool

Now baby, come back a-baby come

Come back a-baby come

Come back baby, I wanna play house with you

Well now this is one thing baby

That I want you to know

Well a-come on back to me a-little girl

We can make it like we did before

Now baby, come back a-baby come

Come back a-baby come

Come back baby, I wanna play house with you

Well now this is one thing baby

That I'm talkin' about

Well a-come on back to me a-little girl

So we can play some house

Now baby, come back a-baby come

Come back a-baby come

Come back baby, I wanna play house with you

Well listen to me baby

Try to understand

Well I'd rather see you dead a-little girl

Than to be with another man

Now baby, come back a-baby come

Come back a-baby come

Come back baby, I wanna play house with you

Well a-baby, baby, baby baby

Baby, baby, baby babe

Baby, baby, baby baby

Baby, baby, baby babe

Come back baby I wanna play house with you

BABY  WON'T  YOU  COME  OUT  TONIGHT   (Buddy Holly)

Oh well-a go baby, go baby, go baby go

Baby go, baby go, baby, go baby go

Baby go, baby go, baby

Won't you come out tonight

Well, baby won't you come out tonight  Underneath the moon so bright

We'll have fun cuttin' the rug  Won't cha come out my little honey bug

Oh baby, won't cha come out tonight

Well baby, the moon is so bright  And if you'll only come out, it'll be just right

We'll make all the night spots  And for you that's not a lot

Oh baby, won't you come out tonight

Oh, go baby, go baby, go-baby-go

Baby go, baby go, baby, go-baby-go

Baby go, baby go, baby

Baby go, baby go, baby go, baby go-go-go

Go! Go!

Well baby, I love you so  And I hope your answer won't be no

If you'll come out, we'll rock and roll  Come on baby, let's go

Oh baby, won't you come out tonight

Oh, go baby, go baby, go-baby-go

Baby go, baby go, baby, go-baby-go

Baby go, baby go, baby

Won't cha come out tonight

Oh, go baby, go baby, go-baby-go

Baby go, baby go, baby, go-baby-go

Baby go, baby go, baby

Won't cha come out tonight

BECAUSE_I_LOVE_YOU_-_BUDDY_HOLLY

BECAUSE  I  LOVE  YOU   (Buddy Holly)

Well they say what you don't know won't hurt you  And I believe that it's so

So don't tell me that you found someone new  To go thru life with you

Because I love you my darling, my dearest I love you  You're the one I want

nearest, may I love you And I will bet you love me too

Oh, I'd rather die thinking you love me  Than to go on thru life without you

And you with someone new  To go thru life with you

Well, because I love you, I love you, my darling  My dearest I love you, I love you

You're the one I want nearest, may I love you, I love you  And I will bet you love

me too

Oh, I'd rather die thinking you love me  Than to go on thru life without you

And you with someone new  To go thru life with you

BLUE_DAYS_-_BLACK_NIGHTS_-_BUDDY_HOLLY

BLUE  DAYS,  BLACK  NIGHTS  (Ben Hall)

Blue days, black nights, blue tears keep on fallin'  For you dear, now you're gone

Blue days, black nights, my heart keeps on callin'  For you dear, and you alone

Memories of you make me sorry  I gave you reason to doubt me

But now you're gone and I am left here all alone  With blue memories, I think of you

Blue days, black nights, I didn't realize  I would miss you, the way I do

And now somehow I know I will pay  For the times I have made you blue

Memories of you make me sorry  I gave you reason to doubt me

But now you're gone and I am left here all alone  With blue memories, I think of you

BLUE_MONDAY_-_BUDDY_HOLLY

BLUE   MONDAY   (Dave Bartholomew - Antoine Domino)

Blue Monday, how I hate Blue Monday

Got to work like a slave all day

Here come Tuesday, oh hard Tuesday

I'm so tired that I've no time to play

Here come Wednesday, I'm beat to my socks

My gal calls, and I tell her that I'm out

'Cause Thursday is a hard workin' day

And Friday I get my pay

Saturday mornin', oh Saturday mornin'

All my tiredness has gone all away

Find my money meet my honey

And go out on the town to play

Sunday mornin' my head is bad

But it's worth it for the time that I've had

But I've got to get my rest

'Cause Monday is a mess

Saturday mornin', oh Saturday mornin'

All my tiredness has gone all away

Find my money meet my honey

And go out on the town to play

Sunday mornin' my head is bad

But it's worth it for the time that I've had

But I've got to get my rest

'Cause Monday is a mess

BLUE    SUEDE    SHOES   ( Carl  Perkins )

Well it's a-one for the money, two for the show

Three to get ready now go cat go

But don't you, step on my blue suede shoes

You can do anything but lay off of my blue suede shoes

Well you can knock me down, step on my face

Slander my name all over the place

Do anything that you wanna do

But uh uh honey lay off of my shoes

And don't you step on my blue suede shoes

You can do anything but lay off of my blue suede shoes

You can burn my house, steal my car

Drink my liquor from an old fruit jar

Do anything that you wanna do

But uh uh honey lay off of my shoes

But don't you, step on my blue suede shoes

Well you can do anything but lay off of my blue suede shoes

Well it's a-one for the money, two for the show

Three to get ready, now go cat go

But don't you, step on my blue suede shoes

You can do anything but lay off of my blue suede shoes

Well it's blue, blue, blue suede shoes

Blue, blue, blue suede shoes yeh!

Blue, blue, blue suede shoes yeh!

Blue, blue, blue suede shoes

You can do anything but lay off of my blue suede shoes

BO DIDDLEY

 BO  DIDDLEY   (Ellas Mc Daniels)

Bo Diddley'll buy baby a diamond ring

If that diamond ring don't shine

He's gonna take it to a private eye

If that private eye can't see

He better not take-a ring-a from me

Won't you come to my house a-back at home

Take-a my baby on the way from home

Love-a that boo-doo, oh where've you been

Up to your house and gone again

Bo Diddley caught a bearcat

To make a pretty baby a Sunday hat

Bo Diddley caught a nanny-goat

To make a pretty baby a Sunday coat

Bo Diddley, Bo Diddley have you heard

My pretty baby said she was a bird

BROWN EYED HANDSOME MAN

BROWN - EYED  HANDSOME  MAN   (Charles E. "Chuck" Berry)

Oh arrested on charges of unemployment

He was sitting in the witness stand

The judge's wife called up the district attorney

Said you free that brown eyed man

You want your job you better free

That brown eyed man

Flying across the desert in a TWA,

I saw a woman walking across the sand

She'd been a-walkin' thirty miles en route to Bombay

To meet a brown eyed handsome man

Her destination was a brown eyed handsome man

Way back in history three thousand years

In fact ever since the world began

There's been a whole lot of good women shedding tears

Over a brown eyed handsome man

A lot of trouble with a brown eyed handsome man

Well a beautiful a daughter couldn't make up her mind

Between a doctor and a lawyer man

Her mother told her, "Darlin' go out and find yourself

A brown eyed handsome man

That's what your daddy is a brown eyed handsome man"

Well the Milo de Venus was a beautiful lass

She had the world in the palm of her hand

But she lost both her arms in a wrestling match

To win a brown eyed handsome man

She fought and won herself a brown eyed handsome man

Well-a two, three the count with nobody on

He hit a high fly into the stands

A-rounding third he was a-heading for home

It was a brown eyed handsome man

That won the game it was a brown eyed handsome man

Buddy Holly, Rock N Roll Superman

   © 2018   (PHIL DWINELL & JESUS OLDMAN)

Tribute Song USA

It was long ago and fa-a-ar away
America was lookin' for something new to say
All of a sudden Rock N Roll was here to stay
They tried to tell us no, we said That'll Be The Day

Though some said Elvis was the king
That's not where I saw the crown

'Cause Buddy Holly was the Rock N Roll Superman
He wrote the best songs and played like no one can
Yeah Buddy Holly was the Rock N Roll Superman
And then he joined
Joined every rock n roll band

He was a man of music, a saint of circumstance
He taught Rock to feel and think, as well as dance
He said
Hey Peggy Sue
She said I'm in love with you
He said
Maybe Baby
I'm-a-gonna love you too

You wouldn't think this Clark Kent kid
Was a whole Party In A Can...

But Buddy Holly was the Rock N Roll Superman
He wrote the best songs and played like no one can
Yeah Buddy Holly, was the Rock N Roll Superman
He wrote better songs and played like no one can
Then he joined
Joined every rock n roll
Joined every rock n roll band

~Guitar solo

Though that was long ago, I know,
He's still here all over town

'Cause Buddy Holly, he's the Rock N Roll Superman
Showed Lennon and McCartney how the whole thing's done, man
Yes he was
Yeah Buddy Holly, he was Superman

It was so tragic and wrong
I coulda lost my mind
His plane went down in early '59
Along with Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper too
You're not forgotten,
We Will Remember You

We love you with a love so rare and true
Yeah, even now

'Cause Buddy Holly, you're a Rock N Roll Superman
You cast a shadow taller than any other man
Like Jesus with a guitar, a brown-eyed handsome man
He wrote better songs than anybody else can
And then he joined
He joined the Hall Of Fame
Gave Everyone His Name
Joined every rock n roll band

woohoo...
woohoo...

                                   Buddy  Holly's  Brille ( Die Ärzte )

                                                                                                       German  tribute

Viele Schurken waren deshalb hinter ihr her,

Music was his pride and joy

Caught up in a Memphis storm

We watched it go !

COME  BACK  BABY   (Fred Neil - Norman Petty)

Come back baby  Baby won't you come back  Come back baby to me

Now I know why all sad hearts cry  Baby baby come to me

Well, I cried all night  Ever since you left me  Nothing has gone right

Poor lonely oh me

I say come back baby  Baby won't you come back  Come back baby to me

Now you know I love you so  Baby baby come to me

When you left me all alone  To sing the blues I waited by the phone

To get good news  That you would come back baby

Baby won't you come back  Come back baby to me

Now you know I love you so  Baby baby come to me

Oh, come back baby to me

Hmm Hmm Hmm Hmm Hmm  Come back baby to me

Oh baby baby come to me  Come back baby to me

CHANTILLY  LACE   ( The Big Bopper )

(Hello baby. Yeah, this is the Big Bopper speaking.

Ha ha ha ha ha!
Oh you sweet thing! Will I what?

Oh baby you know what I like!)

Chantilly lace and a pretty face and a pony-tail a-hanging down,

A wiggle in her walk and a giggle in her talk

Made the world go round, round, round.

Ain't nothing in the world like big-eyed girl

To make me act so funny, make me spend my money,

Make me feel real loose, like a long-necked goose,

Like a girl, oh baby, that's a-what I like!

(What's that baby? But ... but Ah, honey.

Ah, honey. You know what I like!)

Chantilly lace and a pretty face and a pony-tail a-hanging down,

A wiggle in her walk and a giggle in her talk.

Lord made the world go round, round, round.

Ain't nothing in the world like big-eyed girl

To make me act so funny, make me spend my money,

Make me feel real loose, like a long-necked goose,

Like a girl, oh baby, that's a-what I like!

(What's that honey? Pick up at eight? And don't be late?

But baby, I ain't got no money, honey.

Ha ha ha ha. Oh, all right, honey, you know what I like!)

Chantilly lace and a pretty face and a pony-tail a-hanging down,

A wiggle in her walk and a giggle in her talk,

Lord, made the world go round, round, round.

Ain't nothing in the world like big-eyed girl

To make me act so funny, make me spend my money,

Make me feel real loose, like a long-necked goose,

Like a girl, oh baby, that's a-what I like!

CRYING,  WAITING,  HOPING   (Buddy Holly)

Crying, waiting, hoping you'll come back

I just can't seem to get you off my mi-a-i-a-ind

Crying, waiting, hoping you'll come back

You're the one I love

And I think about you all the time

Crying, my tears keep a-falling all night long

Waiting, it feels so useless, I know it's wrong

To keep a-crying, waiting, hoping you'll come back

Maybe someday soon

Things will change and a-you'll be mine

Crying, my tears keep a-falling all night long

Waiting, it feels so useless, I know it's wrong

To keep a-crying, waiting, hoping you'll come back

Maybe someday soon

Things will change and a-you'll be mine

Crying, waiting, hoping
